Mendel is the youngest male on our farm and is growing into a very pleasant surprise.
He is tall, lean, and stately; and has incredibly soft fleece with great handle.
While beige in appearance, Mendel carries hidden genes for color. His sire, Sauvignon,
is medium fawn and his dam, GlimmerGlass Ace, is solid true black, meaning he
should be able to throw dark colors, including black when bred to black! Because of
his genetic potential, we named him after the 19th century Austrian geneticist Gregor
Mendel.
Mendel also possesses an outstanding pedigree. His paternal grandsire Pperuvian
Vengador and maternal grandsire Pperuvian Terror were two of the original males
imported from the Estancia Accoyo in 1994. That group included other well known
names such as Caligula, Timoteo, Pluro, Camilio, Victor, Felix, and Leon. Terror's
bloodline is especially rare, as he was not widely bred before his passing.

Blaise Pascal is one of our Spring 2008 new additions, and we are vey excited about
this little guy! Blaise is the first cria born sired by Crescent Moon's Roulette, who has
won numerous awards including blue ribbons--in fawn classes! Roulette's pedigree
includes such well-known names as Crescent Moon's Rayo Del Sol, 4Peruvian Legacy,
Danko, and Caballero Andante. Roulette appears to have passed his wonderful, crimpy
fleece on to his little silver grey son!
Blaise is named after the 17th century mathematician Blaise Pascal. Pascal is credited
with the invention of the barometer and developed mathematical formulations that led
to the invention of differential calculus.
We will definitely be showing Blaise as soon as he is old enough to enter the show ring.
