Grace is our first true black cria to be born at Whispering Willows Alpacas, and
what a beauty she is turning out to be.
She is large and square in conformation.
She also appears to have inherited mom's laid back personality. We are hoping
that she has inherited the dense, bold, crimpy fleece of her multi-champion sire
Amstel. Early indications are that Grace could turn out to be a very special
alpaca.

Grace has a unique pedigree. H
er grandsires are the true black multi-champion
Dark Shaddow
and the Accoyo import Pperuvian Terror G4567, who was not
widely bred before his recent passing.
Grace is named for Rear Admiral Dr.
Grace Brewster Murray Hopper, who developed programming languages for the
first computers.

Look for Grace in the show ring in 2009!

Lise is the most asked-about alpaca on our farm.  With her cute white face, she
stands out in the pasture and is everyone's favorite.
 Lise has good
conformation and soft fleece with good expression of crimp.

Lise has an outstanding family tree that includes many well known names such
as Accoyo Pluro's Ross, Legacy of Bolivia, Peruvian Oro, and Peruvian Aladdin.
Her sire is the champion and multiple ribbon-winning silver grey herdsire
Sterling Apocalypse.

Lise is named after Lise Meitner, a physicist who lived from 1878 to 1968.
Meitner played a major role in the development of nuclear fission.
 We do plan
on taking Lise into the show ring in
Fall, 2008.

Sophie Germain
Newborn Female
Half Peruvian, Half Chilean  (1
/4 Accoyo!)
COLOR:  Dark Fawn
ARI:  Registration Pending
DOB:  3/24/2008

Sophie is our first cria out of our 1/2 Accoyo, Timoteo son Mr. Lincoln.   Lincoln
allowed the dam's color to come through, while passing his own dense, crimpy
fleece, conformation, and presence on to his daughter.  Sophie is a beautiful,
consistent shade of dark fawn/brown, but with a darker nose and "eye
shadow."  Sophie stands tall and proud in the pasture--this is one young girl with
real presence!

Sophie is named after the mathematician Sophie Germain.  Sophie Germain
prime numbers are the result of her work in number theory, and she is also
credited with developing the modern theory of elasticity.

We are planning on taking Sophie into the show ring beginning in Fall 2008

Caterina has beautiful, crimpy, and dense bay black/dark brown fleece, along
with sturdy and square conformation and a typey head.
 She  is 3/8 Accoyo,
with both Pperuvian Felix and Pperuvian Caligula in her lineage.

We named Caterina after Caterina Scarpellini, a meteorologist, astronomer, and
mathematician who lived in Italy during the 19th century. Scarpellini organized
the Meteorological Ozonometric station in Rome.

We definitely plan on taking Caterina into the show rings in 2008. She is an
absolutely outstanding girl who we believe will win many ribbons.

Leah is one of the newest additions to the Whispering Willows herd. She has
absolutely amazing fleece with a tight zipper crimp, bundling, and a lovely soft
handle. She also has a nice, square conformation with good proportion and a
gorgeous head and face.

Leah has a unique and impressive pedigree
including Canadian champion
Jolimont Peruvian Alpamayo
and the full Accoyo herdsire Victor's Vaccoyo,
who has also produced many, many champion offspring, both in Canada and
the U.S
.   She is also 1/4 Bolivian, from the well-respected herd of Hacienda
Acero Marka, known for its alpacas with dense, fine fleeces and strong
conformation.

Leah has been bred to the young, full Accoyo herdsire LordAccoyo Dionysis
for what will be a 5/8 Accoyo cria. This combination should result in a
remarkable cria in Spring 2009. .
